Dan has just returned from two weeks training at the National Sports Centre in Lilleshall which culminated in the first team selection trials for the World Championships in Tokyo.

Tokyo World Championship Finals
Unfortunately after a disappointing qualification round in Tokyo the GB Men's Team have failed to grab one of the eight automatic places for the London Olympics next year due to them finishing 10th.

Team GB trials for the Gymnastics World Championships
In this week's blog, Daniel is off to Lilleshall for the final GB training camp before trials begin for the World Championships in Tokyo.
Daniel's performance in these trials will determine whether he is fit to return to competition at the highest level.

London 2012 - One year to go
With one year to go until London 2012, Daniel is now turning his attention to the build up, and the Tokyo World Championships in October.

2012 celebrations at the Royal Opera House
Having returned from a successful Japan Cup, Daniel's been regrouping and relaxing before preparations for October's World Championships begin in earnest.

The Japan Cup
Team GB claimed another historic medal at Tokyo's Japan Cup, edging out the Chinese men's team to take bronze.
Daniel was also able to try some new routines for the first time competitively in the individual all-around event.

Off to France to train for the Japan cup
This week Daniel's off to France with the whole of Team GB, juniors and seniors, to warm up for Tokyo's Japan cup, in three weeks' time.
Daniel's putting the finishing touches to his routines, for what will be his first team competition since his cruciate ligament injury back in April 2010.
